Naba Kishore Das Death: Odisha’s Health and Family Welfare Minister Nab Kishore Das has died during treatment. Nab Kishore Das was shot by a policeman during the day on Sunday. Odisha Health Minister Naba Kishore Das, who suffered bullet injuries, has died, an Apollo Hospital official said.
On Sunday afternoon, ASI Gopal Das fired several bullets at Nab Kishore Das in Brajrajnagar town of Jharsuguda district of Odisha. At that time the Health Minister was on his way to attend a meeting and got down from the car to accept the greetings of the people. The minister injured in the attack was first taken to the Jharsuguda district headquarters hospital, but was later airlifted to a hospital in Bhubaneswar.
After this attack, the local people caught the accused ASI and handed him over to the police. Condemning the incident, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the crime branch has been instructed to investigate the matter. The Chief Minister also went to the hospital to see Nab Kishore Das in Bhubaneswar.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed grief over the death of Minister Naba Das. Odisha CMO released the statement of the Chief Minister in which he said that the unfortunate demise of Nab Kishore Das is deeply shocked. He was an asset to both the government and the party. His death is a big loss for the state of Odisha.
The investigation of this matter has been taken over by the CID-Crime Branch. A seven-member special investigation team has been formed, including cyber experts, ballistic experts and crime branch officers. The team is headed by DSP Ramesh Ch Dora.
